Day 1- Art for Leadership Development

-Schools drop out prevention through Art programs 
-What is Engaged Art and how to develop programs in the community and school

-Art for Non-artists
-Myths and truths about talent
-Development of Teamwork in Art Projects
-Problem solving and the creative force
-Communication through images, symbols and words
-Learning to see life through different lenses

Day 2- Creativity and Expression

 
-Multiple Intelligences and the critical thinking through Art
-Parallel and divergent thinking
-Creativity, mind structure and youth empowerment through Arts
-Perception, sensation, and innovation
-Art therapy and the Joy of Creation
-Finding inner joy, and nurturing the inner child through Art activities
-The Art of Stillness and reflection
-Photography for the development of perception, acceptance and expression
-Understanding diversity and change through Art activities

-Development of Self-confidence, discipline, consistency and enthusiasm through Art projects

Day 3 Mindfulness and Awareness

-The inner wise voice, and how to express it.
-The role of Art and Music in the healing process
-Movement and Form to free the Spirit
-Learning from mistakes
-Photovoice projects
-Things to consider when creating a community Art Center
-Developing Art Programs with low budgets
-Arts as a career option

 

Participants will learn how to create Art Projects to benefit self-esteem and propel teamwork, community development and social participation.

Will understand the basic principles of Engaged Art projects and experience different ways by which Art can promote wellbeing, develop multiple intelligences, critical thinking and problem solving. Main concentration will be placed on exploring strategies to generate and sustain youth programs in the community, and empower the youth. Different approaches for leadership development through Art will be demonstrated and practiced during the workshop.
