| I learnt lots and got a chance to see how people feel
about racism. I never knew it was going on with everyone, I
thought I was the victim because of my colour. I would thank the trainers enough to ask them to come every day. I learnt lots, it was an amazing feeling that I am not the only hurt person in this community by getting hurt by people who think they are better than anyone. I would love for this to happen again!!!! Tyra Mohamed Trapper I learnt about how racism is to others and to be creative and to feel confident to say anything, The trainers were both good and they taught how to be yourself and not to be shy to do anything or say anything without being nervous. They are very good at explaining something. Michael Blacksmith I learnt how to put my imagination/creativity to work. The facilitators were very good I would love to have you come to Ojay. Priscilla Bosum From this workshop I have learnt that little people can make a big difference and that you can do whatever you set your mind to. The trainers explained it very well, out of a scale of 10 I would say 10 out of 10. Joey Boutin I learnt that we can nicely work with people all together. That racism is bad and it affects a lot of people around us. Kimberly Giroux I learnt that racism comes from fear. That we youth can make a difference. We teens can do anything. I would give the trainers 10 out of 10. Mandy Quinn I learnt that racism has many meanings like fear in the racist so that they start making fun of you. The trainers are really funny and so happy. They seem to love kids. Ariel Mattawashish General Comments from the Youth You can be racists and not know, stop now and make the world a better place. Racism should not even be a word, don't let that one word hurt you and start loving the one that hates you even if he doesn't want your love because youre different. Ride the bus with different races so you don't hurt the other people. Racism is unecessary discrimination. Racism sucks. What you say hurts, would you want what you give? Think before you say something because it can be forwarded to you. Racism does not affect only one person, it affects the whole race. We are one. Together all can be perfect. Increase the Peace! Lets stay colorificly terrific. Lets stay racism free. We can learn more from diversity. We have experienced racism while we were at the Cree Center. They said white people shouldn't be there and they called us names. It was the first time we were being laughed at because we were white. |
